今年3月に銀座・巷房で展示したa prioriを、京都・便利堂のコロタイプギャラリーで展示します。今回は、初期a prioriのゼラチンシルバープリントも合わせて展示しますので、このシリーズの新旧両方をご覧いただける貴重な機会となります。

Announcement of Yoko Mazuki photo exhibition “a priori” in Kyoto
A priori, which was exhibited at kobo in Ginza in March of this year, will be exhibited at Benrido Collotype Gallery in Kyoto. This time, we will also be exhibiting early a priori gelatin silver prints, so this will be a valuable opportunity to see both the old and new versions of this series.
You can also view and purchase the photo book "a priori" (regular and special editions) published in February at the exhibition hall and shop.

NHK WORLD-JAPAN の Core Kyoto 「The Beauty in Copying (うつしの美学)」の視聴期限は、2025年3月31日まで延長されました。
便利堂の山本氏のご協力を経て取り組んだ a priori の大判コロタイププリント、レギュラーサイズの8×10コロタイププリントの制作の様子をご覧いただけます。（Core Kyoto On DemandからJuly 7, 2022に遡れます）

コロタイプcollotypeは、写真技術が発明された19世紀中頃に多彩に存在したオルタナティブ・プリント（古典印画技法)の一つです。今では大変貴重なものとなってしまったこの技法を、現代の環境基準にも対応できるよう工夫を続けながら守ってきた京都・便利堂さんに技術的サポートを受けながら新作の「a priori」はコロタイププリントも作成しています。
